On 28 September 2020, the Shanghai Nanxiang Xiaolongbao Culture Festival opened. On-site coverage that year recorded that costumed characters including Baotietie and Zongzi Hero appeared on Nanxiang Old Street and interacted with visitors.

The event also introduced an animation-themed creative shop and animation-related tourism content. The characters no longer stayed only on screen; through costumes, displays and cultural settings, they became figures people could meet while exploring local life.

Baotietie's gentle, friendly and non-violent creative direction can also extend to events like this. When characters and audiences build a friendly connection, getting to know a place, a dish and its culture gains a natural starting point.
