On 30 August 2019, the Yangtze River Delta forum on high-quality development of the copyright industry was held in Nanjing. According to China Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Journal, a Youyou Media representative shared experience in copyright and brand licensing for Baotietie and Zongzi Hero.

According to the talk at the time, before the two animation projects had aired, the team had already developed merchandise through copyright deals and brand licensing. This offers a concrete observation: how a character is recognised, used and protected also shapes how it enters daily life.

In UUCMM's history, this exchange records character development and rights management moving forward together. Giving partnerships a clear basis, so that creative work can continue in more settings, is the thought this experience leaves behind.
