In April 2018, Baotietie's animated shorts and sticker set appeared at Comic Con Thailand. The event was held in the Siam Paragon exhibition space in Bangkok, where food characters including Baotietie, Zongzi Hero and 亼亼面 made up UUCMM's showcase.

Coverage at the time noted that this original IP was backed by UUCMM, working with Chinese and Thai production teams and artists. The shorts and stickers offered two ways in: audiences could watch the characters' stories, or start with their short expressions and gestures.

Baotietie is created around non-violent storytelling, letting everyday feelings and humour become a way to understand each other. For UUCMM, turning food into characters with personality is also a way of inviting audiences from different cultures to come closer.
